Nightmare at Beaver Lake

Opening night: Friday, October 15, 2010

The Rotary Club of Sammamish's "fall community event" is for everyone, regardless of age or physical abilities, and is much more than a haunted house!  Anyone who loves to scare in a safe and fun environment and wants to participate is welcome to sign up as a volunteer.  We need Actors, Make-up Artists, Set Designers and Builders, Social Media Conversation Agents and Web Developers.

Anyone interested in theater, film or comedy is welcome to join this project.  We train eager participants (regardless of their skill level) in theatrical makeup application, impromptu acting, set design, sound & lighting, construction, security and more!  This theatrical haunted house is organized and staffed 100% entirely by volunteers.  Hours worked at the event count as community service hours.

To volunteer, please click here or email Volunteers@NightmareAtBeaverLake.com.

The haunt is in a park.  The show goes on rain or dry, power or no power so dress for the weather.  The trail goes through a forest and is handicap accessible.  Attendance has been over 10,000!

Our co-producer is Scare Productions, a non-profit organization bringing 22 years of experience to Halloween productions.  Other nonprofit groups participating include the City of Sammamish Parks & Recreation Department, Sammamish Youth Board, Explorers and Renaissance School of Art & Reasoning.  We welcome local nonprofit groups to contact us via our website about ways to raise funds for their organziation. (www.sammamishrotary.org)

We are most grateful for the continued support of various local businesses, youth groups and the City of Sammamish Parks Department to make this yearly event possible!

As proceeds from admissions to the event support college scholarships for local Sammamish high school students, local families in need during the holidays, the Choices program at Inglewood Junior High School, Sammamish YMCA, Chris Elliott Fund, computers for schools in Uganda, wells in Ethiopia, Rotary First Harvest and more.  Canned good collections support the Eastside Domestic Violence Program.

This event includes free off-site parking with transportation to the ticket booth, concessions, a less-scary Family Hour and countless surprises.  Free transportation back to the parking lots is also provided.

This is the fun and fright-filled autumn tradition your whole family can enjoy! getascare_900
